NFL power rankings, Week 12: Cardinals keep rolling

The NFL power rankings for Week 12 are here, and in the NFC portion of things, the Arizona Cardinals are holding firm on top.

16. Detroit Lions

The Lions still haven’t won a game, and if they don’t do it on Thanksgiving, it might not happen this season.

15. New York Giants

New York is a mess, and it starts with the coaching staff. Joe Judge needs to go at the end of the year.

14. Chicago Bears

See above, just replace Joe Judge with Matt Nagy. What a horrible, embarrassing loss on Sunday.

13. Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks might be approaching the end of the Russell Wilson-Pete Carroll era after falling to 3-7.

12. Atlanta Falcons

Atlanta might be one of the least-talented teams in the NFL, and it’s starting to show. At 4-6, tough to see the Falcons rebounding.

11. Washington Football Team

Can Washington make a playoff run? At 4-6 but winners of two straight, it’s completely possible in the wide-open NFC wild card race.

10. Carolina Panthers

Carolina needs to start rolling a bit. Cam Newton is a nice upgrade over the previous quarterbacks, but is he enough?

9. New Orleans Saints

The Saints need a quarterback. Trevor Siemian and Taysom Hill aren’t doing it, especially with Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas out.

8. Philadelphia Eagles

At 5-6, the Eagles are suddenly looking really, really good for a playoff spot. Philadelphia has five games left against the NFC East along with a matchup against the Jets.

7. Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota has a chance to start making its move into the NFC playoff picture with a game this weekend against the 49ers.

6. San Francisco 49ers

See above, just reverse the roles.

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

After beating the Giants on Monday night, the Buccaneers are 7-3 and only a game back of the top seed in the NFC. Tampa Bay should be feeling good.

4. Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys haven’t played well in two of their last three games, and now they host the reeling Las Vegas Raiders on Thanksgiving. Have to get it.

3. Los Angeles Rams

Los Angeles is 7-3 and coming off its bye week after losing its last two games. The Rams need to handle business against an injured Packers team at Lambeau Field on Sunday.

2. Green Bay Packers

Green Bay is without a litany of stars and now Aaron Rodgers has a hurt toe. The bye week can’t come soon enough for the Packers.

1. Arizona Cardinals

The best team in the NFL through 11 weeks.
