NFL power rankings, Week 17: Bills make move in AFC

With Week 16 coming to a close, we look at the AFC edition of the NFL power rankings and see the Buffalo Bills moving up.

16. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars are a complete disgrace of a franchise, both on and off the field after the Urban Meyer fiasco. Another No. 1 pick incoming.

15. Houston Texans

The Texans shocked everyone and beat the Chargers! Huge win for David Culley and his program moving forward.

14. New York Jets

New York somehow has four wins, which feels stunning considering how much it has struggled this season.

13. Cleveland Browns

Incredibly, the Browns can win their final two games and have a real chance to host a playoff game as the AFC North champ.

12. Denver Broncos

It’s over after losing to the Raiders. Now, is it over for head coach Vic Fangio, or does he hang out for another campaign?

11. Las Vegas Raiders

If the Raiders win their final two games (at Colts, vs. Chargers) they make the playoffs. What a wild ride for Derek Carr and Co.

10. Pittsburgh Steelers

That was a rough one against the Chiefs. Still, though, two wins against reeling divisional foes and Pittsburgh probably makes the postseason.

9. Baltimore Ravens

This thing has completely fallen apart over the past few weeks. Injuries and a horrid defense has done the Ravens in.

8. Miami Dolphins

Miami has somehow risen from the dead after looking more than finished at 1-7. One hell of a coaching job by Brian Flores.

7. Los Angeles Chargers

Losing to the Texans on Sunday might be a top-five loss in Chargers history … and if you know their history, that’s really saying something.

6. New England Patriots

The Patriots had everything on their proverbial racket two weeks ago. Now, they’re looking to be a one-and-done wild card team.

5. Cincinnati Bengals

What a showing from Joe Burrow against the Ravens, putting up 525 passing yards in a tremendous display.

4. Indianapolis Colts

The Colts are one of the league’s hottest teams, and it suddenly looks like Indy is a real player in the AFC playoff picture.

3. Tennessee Titans

Tennessee got a huge comeback win over the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday night, and it remains only one game back of the Chiefs for the top seed.

2. Buffalo Bills

Beat the Atlanta Falcons and New York Jets at home over the next two weeks, and the Bills are once again the AFC East champs.

1. Kansas City Chiefs

The hottest, and most complete team in the NFL.
