NFL Week 10 schedule: 5 teams on upset alert
Looking at the NFL Week 10 schedule, we pick five teams who should be on upset alert this weekend, including one playing in Europe.
5. Miami Dolphins (-3.5) vs. Cleveland Browns
The Dolphins are the better team and Cleveland has a backup quarterback on the road. So why the upset alert? Because the Browns are off a bye and can run the ball at will, and the Dolphins’ defense is a mess. This is a recipe for a fresh team imposing its will and keeping the opposing offense off the field. When facing the Dolphins and their dynamic duo of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle on the outside, that’s the way to win.

4. Tennessee Titans (-2.5) vs. Denver Broncos
The Titans are dealing with a litany of injuries to the defense, highlighted by defensive tackle Jeffrey Simmons and linebacker Zach Cunningham being ruled out. Tennessee does get quarterback Ryan Tannehill back after he missed two games with an ankle injury, but is that enough against one of the league’s best defenses in the Broncos? Denver has been a mess offensively, but the Broncos could keep this game close and potentially find a way with a takeaway or two.
3. Buffalo Bills (-6.5) vs. Minnesota Vikings
Josh Allen won’t miss the game, but one wonders how compromised he’s going to be after suffered an injury to his right elbow. If Allen is healthy, the Bills should avoid losing a second straight contest. If not, it could be a tall order to beat the Vikings, who are 7-1 and riding a six-game winning streak. It’ll be fascinating to see how Allen plays, but also how Buffalo’s defense deals with a litany of injuries including edge rusher Gregory Rousseau, linebacker Tremaine Edmunds, corner Kaiir Elam and safety Jordan Poyer.

2. New Orleans Saints (-1) at Pittsburgh Steelers
The Saints are going on the road, on short rest, to take on the Steelers who are coming off their bye week. Pittsburgh has a lousy offense, but the defense should be much better with the return of edge rusher T.J. Watt, who has been on the mend since injuring his pec in Week 1.
1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-2.5) vs. Seattle Seahawks
Seattle is the better team, and this game is at a neutral site with Germany being the host country. The Buccaneers are living off reputation at this juncture, with a beat-up defense and a horrific offense. Geno Smith is having an excellent season, Seattle’s defense is rolling and the coaching staff is making all the right moves. The Seahawks shouldn’t be underdogs.
