NFL Week 12 odds: 5 best bets on favorites

NFL Week 12 begins with the Texans VS the Colts on Thursday Night Football. We take a look at five of the best favorites bets in NFL Week 12.

5. Baltimore Ravens (-3) at Los Angeles Rams

Baltimore is playing like the best team in football right now. Lamar Jackson is dominating both on the field and in the headlines. The defense is crushing opponents and the coaching staff is one of the league’s best. While the Rams are a good team and a desperate one at that, how can anybody trust Jared Goff and that offensive line? It’s been one problem after the next in Los Angeles, so take the Ravens and swallow the points.

4. Atlanta Falcons (-4) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Falcons are suddenly playing good football. Really good football. Atlanta pounded the New Orleans Saints 26-9 in the Superdome two weeks ago before plowing the Carolina Panthers, 29-3. At this rate, Atlanta suddenly looks like it can beat anybody, and now it gets the Buccaneers. Tampa Bay is better than its 3-7 record lets on, but Jameis Winston has thrown a league-high 18 interceptions. Not great.

3. Buffalo Bills (-4) vs. Denver Broncos

Buffalo is a little bit of a fraud at 7-3. The only team it has beaten over .500? Well, nobody. That’s right. Not a single victory against any team you would consider good. Luckily for the Bills, it’s the Broncos and their 3-7 record coming to town on Sunday afternoon. It’s tough to see Brandon Allen coming into Buffalo and taking down that defense with the Bills in a chance for the postseason.

2. New Orleans Saints (-9.5) vs. Carolina Panthers

This is the biggest spread on here, but the Saints are one of the best teams in football, if not the best. Carolina is now 5-5 and appears to be reeling after being blown out by the aforementioned Falcons. With the season only having six games remaining, you know the Saints are starting to think about getting a first-round bye and perhaps having home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs. It all starts with handling business at home against Kyle Allen and the Panthers.

1. Pittsburgh Steelers (-6.5) at Cincinnati Bengals

The Steelers have no offense, to the point they have only scored seven touchdowns in the past five games with the unit. However, the Bengals are the lone team without a win this season at 0-10. It’s been brutal for first-year head coach Zac Taylor, and frankly, the Steelers need to win if they want any chance of making some noise and getting into the playoffs. Cincinnati will fight, but Pittsburgh is the better team with an elite defense against Ryan Finley. It’ll cover.
