NFL Week 13 schedule: 5 QBs primed for huge games

If you’re looking for quarterbacks who are going to go off in the NFL Week 13 schedule, these five should have great stats.

5. Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals

Playing against the Los Angeles Chargers, the Bengals are likely going to need to keep scoring to win. For Burrow, that means throwing early and often to a trio of dynamic weapons in Tee Higgins, Ja’Marr Chase and Tyler Boyd on the outside. For Cincinnati, the weekend could mean facing a banged-up secondary. The Chargers missing top corner Asante Samuel Jr., who hasn’t practiced this week (and missed last week) with a concussion. Look for Burrow to have a nice afternoon.

4. Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams

This should be a slam dunk. The Rams are in desperate need of a win after losing three straight, and they draw the Jacksonville Jaguars at SoFi Stadium. Even with Robert Woods out for the season and Odell Beckham Jr. hurting, Los Angeles likely torches the Jags with a combination of tight end Tyler Higbee and receiver Cooper Kupp, who is leading the NFL in receiving yardage. Even if the Rams pull away, Stafford should have 300+ yards in a probable win.

3. Carson Wentz, Indianapolis Colts

The Colts draw the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium this weekend, and that should equal a big day for Wentz. After losing in a shootout to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Colts are 6-6 and in desperate need of a victory. Expect Wentz to have easy throws and clean pockets using play-action alongside running back Jonathan Taylor, who is cruising towards his first rushing title. Indy should win big, and Wentz is likely to benefit.

2. Tom Brady, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Brady and the Bucs have the fun task of taking on the Atlanta Falcons this weekend. Tampa Bay is trying to make a late-season push towards the top seed in the NFC. This is a must-win in that regard. Atlanta has one of the league’s least-talented rosters, and although Bucs receiver Antonio Brown is unavailable, the rest of Brady’s cast is more than enough to torch the Falcons.

1. Kirk Cousins, Minnesota Vikings

Finally, Cousins and the Vikings are on the road to face the winless Detroit Lions. If Cousins can’t put up huge numbers in a dome with few fans and not a single impact player in the Detroit secondary, give it up. Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson should both have large stat lines by the end of it.
