NFL Week 4 odds: A case for each favorite
Looking at the NFL Week 4 odds, we take a glance at why each favorite could both win and cover this weekend.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Cincinnati Bengals (-7.5)
Jacksonville is making a road trip on a short week and hasn’t yet come close to winning a game. Why do the Jaguars even stay close here?
Carolina Panthers at Dallas Cowboys (-5)
The Cowboys get the Panthers without running back Christian McCaffrey. It could derail Carolina’s offense.
Cleveland Browns (-2) at Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings are incredibly erratic, while the Browns have pillars of strength in their run game and pass rush. Look for Cleveland to bother Kirk Cousins all day.
Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears (-3)
It’s easy to bang on Chicago, but the Bears are simply more talented than Detroit, and desperate at home.
Houston Texans at Buffalo Bills (-16.5)
Davis Mills will struggle to score in Buffalo, and the Bills should coast to 30 points after averaging 39 points each of the past two weeks.
Indianapolis Colts at Miami Dolphins (-1.5)
The Colts are beat up and the Dolphins know a loss here could wreck their season.

Kansas City Chiefs (-7.5) at Philadelphia Eagles
This is a crisis for the Chiefs. Win or the season begins to crumble. Kansas City will show up here.
New York Giants at New Orleans Saints (-7.5)
The Giants are brutal. Good luck staying close in the Superdome.
Tennessee Titans (-7.5) at New York Jets
Have you seen the Jets?
Washington Football Team (-1.5) at Atlanta Falcons
The Football Team is struggling, but they’re more talented than the Falcons and should shut down Atlanta’s anemic offense.
Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Rams (-4.5)
Right now, the Rams are the best team in football. Kyler Murray and the Cardinals are doing an excellent job, but this is a step up in class.
Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers (-3)
Great game. However, Seattle has one of the league’s worst defenses, and master schemer Kyle Shanahan will take advantage.

Baltimore Ravens at Denver Broncos (-1)
The Broncos are unbeaten and get the Ravens off a close game in Detroit. Denver is also tough at home.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Green Bay Packers (-6.5)
Ben Roethlisberger’s idea of a deep ball is throwing three yards.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-6.5) at New England Patriots
Tom Brady is going to come out with the heat of a thousand suns to win this game.
Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Chargers (-3.5)
Los Angeles might be a game behind the Raiders in the standings, but it’s more talented on both sides of the ball.
