NFL Week 4 schedule: 5 teams who could be upset this weekend

The NFL Week 4 slate is packed with interesting games. Here are five games where the favorite could get upset.

5. Houston Texans (-3.5) vs. Minnesota Vikings

The Texans have to be on the list. Look, if you’re sitting at 0-3 and somehow laying points — although in this case, rightfully so — you’re on upset alert. Houston hasn’t been good to this point, albeit losing to the Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers. Now, it has to contend with the desperate Vikings, who lost a heartbreaker to the Tennessee Titans last week. They’ll be motivated.

4. Buffalo Bills (-3) at Las Vegas Raiders

This is a tough spot for the Bills. In a normal, equal situation, they’d be the easy choice. However, Buffalo is coming off an emotional win and now has to fly cross-country and stay in Vegas during a pandemic and play a Raiders team trying to erase a lopsided loss to the New England Patriots. The other concern here is Josh Allen being turnover prone. He’s had four in three games. Easy way to lose against an inferior team.

3. San Francisco 49ers (-7) vs. Philadelphia Eagles

The 49ers are down to their second-string quarterback with Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle) out. Yes, the Eagles have been absolutely terrible through three games at 0-2-1, but the 49ers are essentially playing half their second team. If Carson Wentz can’t beat Mick Mullens, it might be time to call the season in Philadelphia.

2. Dallas Cowboys (-4.5) vs. Cleveland Browns

This is an upset special. The Browns have real weapons all the field in running backs Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, tight ends David Njoku and Austin Hooper, and receivers Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry. Meanwhile Dallas has given up 77 points over the past two weeks against the Atlanta Falcons and Seattle Seahawks. The Cowboys have enough offense themselves to get into a shootout and win, but covering 4.5 points is too much.

1. Indianapolis Colts (-2.5) at Chicago Bears

The Bears should be furious they are underdogs in this game. The Colts lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 1 before beating the Vikings and New York Jets. Meanwhile, the Bears are undefeated and now have a better quarterback starting in Nick Foles after the benching of Mitch Trubisky. And, for a kicker, Chicago is at home. This line is the worst of the week in Vegas.
