NFL Week 6 schedule: 5 teams on upset alert

With the NFL Week 6 schedule beginning on Thursday night, we look at five favorites who need to be on upset alert.

5. Miami Dolphins (-3) at Jacksonville Jaguars

This was supposed to be a good season for the Dolphins. Somehow, they’ve started the campaign 1-4 and now go to London for a road game with the Jaguars. While Jacksonville is absolutely rancid at 0-5, the Jaguars have the better quarterback and enough talent on the offensive side to finally get a victory. It’s going to happen at some point, and against the Dolphins, it feels a turnover or two could sway the result.

4. Buffalo Bills (-5.5) at Tennessee Titans

The Bills are coming off their biggest win in years — at least in the regular season — with a 38-20 victory at Arrowhead Stadium over there Kansas City Chiefs. Now, they head to Tennessee for a Monday night game against the Titans. Tennessee is 3-2 and trying to extend its lead in the AFC South, while Buffalo is attempting to refocus and not fall apart against a middling team. The rare potential trap game in primetime.

3. Cleveland Browns (-3) vs. Arizona Cardinals

The Browns are 3-2 and taking on an undefeated team, and yet Cleveland is favored by a field goal with the line growing throughout the week. The Cardinals are rolling on both sides of the ball, getting pressure from Chandler Jones and J.J. Watt, while the offense is firing with quarterback Kyler Murray, receivers DeAndre Hopkins and A.J. Green and others. If the Browns aren’t at the top of their game, Arizona could win once more to get to 6-0.

2. Minnesota Vikings (-2) at Carolina Panthers

The Panthers have lost two straight, and now they host the Vikings who are only a game behind them in the NFC wild card standings. Carolina hasn’t been able to take care of the Dallas Cowboys or Philadelphia Eagles, with Sam Darnold turning the ball over five times in those games. This is a big game, but are we sure the home tea isn’t the better one?

1. Baltimore Ravens (-2.5) vs. Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers go on the road and cross-country at that, but the Ravens are on a short week and dealing with a slew of injuries. Los Angeles appears to be the better team through five games — even though both outfits are 4-1 — and if Justin Herbert can pick apart Baltimore’s undermanned secondary, there’s reason to see an upset in Charm City.
