NFL Week 7 2022: A case for each favorite

The NFL Week 7 odds are out, and we make a case for every favorite this week to both win and cover their respective spreads.

New Orleans Saints at Arizona Cardinals (-1.5)

A Thursday night game where one of these teams falls to 1-5. Arizona, despite all its struggles, is the better team with superior quarterback play.

Atlanta Falcons at Cincinnati Bengals (-6)

The Bengals are getting a game Falcons team coming into Cincinnati, but Joe Burrow and Co. have an underrated defense to stymie Atlanta’s weaponry.

Detroit Lions at Dallas Cowboys (-7)

The Cowboys are getting Dak Prescott back, and the Lions have one of the league’s worst defenses over the past 25 years.

Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans (-3)

The Titans are well-rested off their bye week and welcome in one of the NFL’s worst offenses in the Colts, who have struggled to block all year.

Green Bay Packers (-5.5) at Washington Commanders

If the Packers can’t beat Taylor Heinicke and the Commanders, it’s time to fold up shop for the year.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-10.5) at Carolina Panthers

This is the ultimate spot for Buccaneers’ bettors. Tampa Bay is coming off an absurd loss and now draws a team with no coach, no quarterback and no motivation.

New York Giants at Jacksonville Jaguars (-3)

New York is the better team — as evidenced by its record — but the Jaguars are at home with the better quarterback in a game they need to have.

Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens (-6.5)

The Ravens are all about blowing big leads in the second half, but it’s tough to do that when Jacoby Brissett is the other team’s quarterback.

New York Jets at Denver Broncos (-3)

It can’t get any worse for the Broncos. At some point, things will turn. Right? Right?

Houston Texans at Las Vegas Raiders (-7.5)

Off a bye, at home, the Raiders are going to come out desperate. Houston might hang around for a bit, but the Texans don’t have the talent to pull the upset.

Seattle Seahawks at Los Angeles Chargers (-7)

Los Angeles is a shaky bet if we’re being honest. The Chargers have struggled in almost every game this year despite their record, but having Justin Herbert at home against Seattle’s defense is the play.

Kansas City Chiefs (-3) at San Francisco 49ers

San Francisco has the misfortune of being really beat up, and getting the Chiefs off a loss. Kansas City is the better team with the far superior quarterback and healthier roster.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Miami Dolphins (-7)

Miami. is finally getting a bit. healthier with the expected return of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Also, look for the Dolphins to tee off on Kenny Pickett (or Mitch Trubisky) with blitzes.

Chicago Bears at New England Patriots (-7.5)

Have you seen the Bears this season? If the Patriots score 14 points, they’re going to cover this spread.
