NFL Week 9 schedule: 4 best games to watch on Sunday

The NFL Week 9 slate is absolutely jam-packed with great games. Here are the four you can’t afford to miss come Sunday.

4. Chicago Bears at Tennessee Titans

A couple of contenders will battle it out in Nashville, but with a hint of desperation. The Bears and Titans have each lost two straight, and now Chicago heads to Tennessee looking to pull off the upset.

Should Nick Foles and Co. lose, they fall to 5-4 and are suddenly in real danger of dropping out of the NFC playoff picture. Meanwhile, the Titans are tied atop the AFC South and need a win to ensure at least a share of the lead going forward.

3. Baltimore Ravens at Indianapolis Colts

Again, two teams battling amidst a playoff race. Indianapolis and Baltimore are each 5-2, but the teams are feeling differently at the moment. Indianapolis is coming off a resounding win in Detroit, while the Ravens lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, largely because of four turnovers by Lamar Jackson.

By most measures, Baltimore is the better team, but the Colts are at home and the Ravens will be without star cornerback Marlon Humphrey, who is on the COVID-19 list.

2. Seattle Seahawks at Buffalo Bills

Are you ready for an avalanche of points? Here they come. Buffalo and Seattle have enjoyed two of the highest-scoring offenses this season, and with porous defenses on both sides, it’s not hard to see 60+ points in this one.

However, this could be a tough game for the Bills if recent trends continue. Buffalo struggled to beat the hapless New York Jets and New England Patriots the past two weeks. Seattle has been strong throughout the campaign, sitting at 6-1 and with Russell Wilson throwing a league-best 26 touchdowns.

1. New Orleans Saints at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

This is unquestionably the game of the week. New Orleans and Tampa Bay are separated by a half-game in the NFC South, with the loss column deadlocked. The Saints beat the Bucs in Week 1 at the Superdome, and now Drew Brees and Co. go on the road, looking for a clean season sweep.

If Tom Brady can lead the Buccaneers to a victory, it’s a huge step towards fighting for home-field advantage in the loaded NFC. However, if the Saints can go on the road and win once more over Tampa Bay, they vault into the  division’s top spot and suddenly look to be in strong position.
