Nico Collins to return for Texans on MNF against Cowboys
The Houston Texans are receiving a massive offensive boost, with star wide receiver Nico Collins set to return on Monday night against the Dallas Cowboys.
Collins missed the last five games due to a hamstring injury that occurred in the 23-20 win over the Buffalo Bills in Week 5. In five games, the 25-year-old recorded 32 receptions for 562 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
It included more than 100 receiving yards three times, topped by a stellar performance with 12 catches for 151 receiving yards and a touchdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Despite his absence, he remains the team leader in receiving yards and 20-yard receptions (eight) and tied for the lead in receiving touchdowns.

Collins has been star quarterback CJ Stroud’s top receiving option over the last two seasons. His return provides a game-changing piece back to the offense, especially with Stefon Diggs out for the season.
“Just going out there, being with my brothers,” Collins told ESPN. “There’s no better feeling than that. Just happy to be feeling good and happy to be able to have the opportunity to play this week and just continue to pick back up where I left off.”
The Texans have dropped three out of their last four games, including the last two consecutive contests. The latest was a frustrating 26-23 defeat to the Detroit Lions, where they intercepted MVP candidate quarterback Jared Goff five times.
Houston remains in the driver’s seat atop the AFC South with a two-game lead over the Indianapolis Colts.
