Patriots unfazed by Jalen Ramsey’s Super Bowl prediction
The Jacksonville Jaguars pulled off the biggest upset of the divisional round of the NFL playoffs this past weekend. Jalen Ramsey and company went into Heinz Field and held off the Pittsburgh Steelers in order to advance to the AFC Championship Game to face the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots.
Following the win over the Steelers, Ramsey boldly stated that the Jaguars will advance to and win the Super Bowl. Of course, his comments are basically a direct shot at the Patriots who is heavily favored to beat them. New England’s players, in typical fashion, aren’t fazed by Ramsey’s very public statement, via ESPN’s Mike Reiss.
“Jalen Ramsey is a good player. He talks a lot of trash. That’s a part of his game, and you can’t take it away from him,” Patriots safety Duron Harmon, one of the team’s captains, said Monday. “He’s confident. He should be confident in his team. He has a really good football team.
“The top two AFC teams are left, and he’s a part of one of them. His approach to the game is different from ours, but we can’t knock him for it.â€
NFL Offer
New England will host the upstart Jaguars on Sunday as the first of two games set to be played. Following the AFC Championship Game, the Philadelphia Eagles will take on the visiting Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Championship Game.
Ramsey’s Jaguars going up against the Patriots will be a classic matchup of a potent offense taking on a lockdown defense. New England is firing on all cylinders once again with Tom Brady under center while Jacksonville is shaping up to be the league’s elite defense.
Unlike the Jaguars being heavy underdogs against the Patriots, the Vikings are currently favored in their playoff matchup with the Eagles.
