Raiders, Eagles are teams ‘most closely linked’ to Antonio Brown
Friday came and went without the Pittsburgh Steelers pulling the trigger on a trade to send superstar wide receiver Antonio Brown elsewhere. The team made it clear that a deal would more than likely get done on March 8, but it never did.
Instead, Brown sent out a video saying that he would announce his next team shortly. He also said nothing after that but seemed to allude to the Raiders being his next team. However, Oakland may now have some stiff competition with the Philadelphia Eagles seemingly now in the mix to trade for the perennial Pro Bowler, according to Jason La Canfora.
Things fairly quiet on the AB front. The two teams I continue to hear most closely linked to him are the Raiders and Eagles. Several teams who have been in the mix believe a trade with Raiders would already be done if not for contractual hold-ups between the WR and the team

The plot continues to thicken with this situation and what will ultimately happen remains unknown. At one point, it appeared that a deal was done with the Buffalo Bills, who weren’t even in the conversation of interested teams. That deal fell apart and now it seems to be back to square one or at least down to these two teams for the time being.
It’ll be interesting to see how this all pans out as the addition of Brown will greatly improve their receiving corps of both these teams. Philadelphia might be more appealing to Brown as they’re in win-now mode while Oakland is rebuilding with an uncertain future ahead with Jon Gruden at the helm and a potential change at quarterback.
Brown could be a good fit for either team, but it may come down to his contract and how much each team is willing to give up to the Steelers in the trade.
