Rams sign veteran wide receiver DeSean Jackson
After falling short in 2020, the Los Angeles Rams were determined to bounce back. As a result, they’re starting to make some drastic changes offensively for the 2021 NFL season. The first move made was to move on from Jared Goff and bring in veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford. Now, they’ve brought in a solid downfield threat for the newcomer.
According to Lindsey Thiry of ESPN, the Rams have signed veteran wide receiver DeSean Jackson.

The Los Angeles Rams agreed to terms with veteran wide receiver DeSean Jackson on Sunday.
Jackson fills a much-needed role as a deep-threat wide receiver on an offense that will feature quarterback Matthew Stafford next season.
Although Jackson is no longer the threat he once was with the Philadelphia Eagles early in his career, the 34-year-old can still be a solid option at wideout if able to stay healthy back in his hometown of Los Angeles. He still might have some gas left in the tank, and playing back home with a proven quarterback under center might be just what he needs to resurrect his career.

Injuries have been a big problem for Jackson over the last few years as he’s really struggled to stay healthy and on the field. He’s played in 20 games in the last three seasons. Two of those seasons were with the Eagles, while the other was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
In 160 games he’s played in his career, Jackson has racked up 10,656 yards and 56 touchdowns on 612 receptions. If able to stay healthy, he could be a reliable weapon for Stafford during their first season in Los Angeles.
