Randy Moss admits he almost joined Seahawks for their Super Bowl run

Randy moss is arguably one of the greatest wide receivers in NFL history. He is mentioned in the same breath as Jerry Rice, and as a result has one of the most impressive resumes for a player at his position. However, he was unable to win a Super Bowl and that’ll haunt him in his post-playing career.

He came one win shy of a Super Bowl title with the New England Patriots. Although, Randy Moss had another opportunity to win a title with a different team. Moss recently admitted that he had a chance to sign with the Seattle Seahawks following Percy Harvin’s injury as he told superstar quarterback Russell Wilson, via Pro Football Talk.

“The year you guys went to New York and beat Denver,” Moss said, “I had an opportunity, Russ, to come and play with you guys.”

Wilson was also devastated about the news that he could’ve won a Super Bowl playing alongside the iconic WR.

“My heart hurts,” Wilson said. “I wish somebody would have told me. We would’ve made this happen. . . . Now I’m going to have dreams of playing with Randy Moss.”

The Seahawks went on to crush the Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl that year. Seattle made easy work of the NFL’s best offense at the time. Peyton Manning and company stood no chance against the dominant defense of Seattle, which probably bothers Moss to this day as he could’ve been known as a Super Bowl champion as well as one of the best wideouts of all time.
