Seahawks’ Greg Olsen claims there’s ‘no excuse’ to miss training

One of the notable names to move in the NFL over the offseason was star tight end, Greg Olsen, after he was let go by the Carolina Panthers.

It didn’t take long for him to find his next home in the NFL as he agreed to a deal with the Seattle Seahawks. Ahead of his first campaign with the Seahawks, Olsen voiced that he has had an encouraging offseason as he has been able to focus entirely on his workout program due to the concern over the coronavirus. “You can’t travel a whole lot,” he said. “There’s no reason to miss your training, . . . there’s no excuse. You are in a rush to go nowhere.”

It’s certainly a tough situation for everyone across the globe, which has made a significant impact on the many different industries in the United States. Among those has been the sports leagues, which has prevented them from being able to go through their normal operations.

The NFL has been heavily impacted as it has prevented teams from utilizing their practice facilities and going through organized workouts. Olsen is a shining example of the players making the most of the disappointing situation with using the added time to stay in shape.

That is the route that many professional athletes have had to take in this difficult time around the globe. There should be more clarity on this front in the coming weeks, which the NFL is hoping not to have their 2020 season derailed by any means.
