Seahawks’ Russell Wilson says DK Metcalf is ‘best in the world at what he does’

The Seattle Seahawks have come out firing on all cylinders to start to the 2020 NFL season. Russell Wilson is in the running and quite possibly the overwhelming favorite for NFL MVP while the team is currently sporting a flawless 4-0 record.

Along with Wilson having a career year in Seattle, star wide receiver DK Metcalf is the main benefactor and his quarterback thinks the wideout is an elite talent, via Matt Calkins of the Seattle Times.

“He’s the best in the world at what he does,” Wilson said of Metcalf on Thursday during a Zoom call. “He’s continued to evolve into one of the best receivers in the game. Not to be shy about it, I think he is one of the top receivers in the game. He can do it all — he can run by you, he can jump over you, he can get physical with you. … He just approaches the game the right way.”

In four games thus far, Metcalf has 403 receiving yards on 16 receptions. That receiving yards total is second in the NFL and his three receiving touchdowns are tied for ninth.

In only his second season with the Seahawks, Metcalf has turned into Wilson’s favorite target in the passing game. He is also becoming one of the best wide receivers in the NFL as he continues to prove his worth to Seattle on a weekly basis as they make a strong case to be a legitimate Super Bowl title contender in the NFC.
