Steelers superstar Antonio Brown says he ‘can take’ criticism from Ben Roethlisberger
The Pittsburgh Steelers are nearing the postseason once again with the team in control of the AFC North. However, it has been a bumpy ride for the storied NFL franchise due to the Le’Veon Bell situation as well as star quarterback Ben Roethlisberger openly criticizing his teammates like fellow star, Antonio Brown.
The loss to the Denver Broncos last week was costly with Roethlisberger criticizing his teammates. The comments made by the two-time Super Bowl champion made the rounds on social media as well as the team’s locker room making for an interesting dynamic heading into Week 13. Brown recently responded to Roethlisberger’s comments saying the following, via ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
“I’ve got big shoulders. I can take it,” Brown told the media from his locker room Friday. “Constructive criticism is only for you to get better. It’s not personal.”
The real question moving forward is whether this dynamic between the two biggest stars on the team will end up being their undoing for this season. The Steelers are in a position to be a force to be reckoned with in the AFC come playoff time with a potent offense led by these two, but internal problems may become a problem moving forward.
In Week 13, the Steelers will go head-to-head against the Los Angeles Chargers in what will be a good test for both teams. The Chargers have been one of the best team in the AFC this season and seem poised for a playoff run with Pittsburgh potentially being a team they’ll need to get through to be Super Bowl bound.
