Super Bowl 56 MVP odds: 5 top bets
Looking at the Super Bowl 56 MVP odds, these five players might be the best bets to make before we get to Super Sunday.
Which five players are quality bets to win the Super Bowl LVI MVP award? Here’s a breakdown with their odds attached.
5. Aaron Donald (+1700)
It’s not often we get a defensive player who wins Super Bowl MVP. It’s happened a few times, including Chuck Howley in Super Bowl V for the Dallas Cowboys in a losing effort. Most-recently, we saw Malcolm Smith get the nod for the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLVIII. However, Donald has to be in the conversation considering how great he is, and how weak the Cincinnati Bengals’ offensive line is. Donald could wreck this game.
4. Ja’Marr Chase (+2200)
Chase actually has worse odds than Donald, but he’s a great bet. If the Bengals are going to win this game, it’s going to be because Chase has an enormous night, and likely dominates against perhaps the best corner in football with Jalen Ramsey on the other side. Cincinnati has seen Chase become a tremendous receiver in his rookie year, notching more the 1,400 yards in the regular season including a 266-yard performance against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 17.
3. Cooper Kupp (+650)
Of any non-quarterback, Kupp has the best odds, and why not? This season, the former Eastern Washington star turned a trick seldom seen in the NFL, leading the league in receiving yards, receptions and touchdowns. Kupp has been unstoppable and won’t be facing a top-tier corner in the Cincinnati secondary. The Rams should be able to target their best weapon consistently in their own building.
2. Joe Burrow (+230)
Burrow has to be in the top two. It’s rare that the quarterback of the winning team doesn’t win the Super Bowl MVP, and should then Bengals take home their first Lombardi Trophy in franchise history, Burrow will almost certainly play a huge role. Burrow has been the story of the postseason so far, beating Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in the AFC title game.
1. Matthew Stafford (+115)
Stafford has to be seen as the clear favorite. The Rams are favored to beat the upstart Bengals, and should the Rams win, Stafford will be the frontrunner to take the hardware home. For years, Stafford languished with the Detroit Lions, failing to win a single playoff game in more than a decade. Now he’s a single victory away from changing his legacy forever, and it could be capped off with being named Super Bowl MVP.
