Titans star Calvin Ridley vents frustration for lack of catches
The Tennessee Titans headed into the 2024 NFL season with high hopes of heading into a new era with second-year quarterback Will Levis under center and the team having a talented veteran duo of Calvin Ridley and DeAndre Hopkins in the receiving corps. Even though superstar running back Derrick Henry left the team in NFL free agency, the Titans seemed formidable on offense, with Tony Pollard taking over in the backfield.
Unfortunately, things haven’t gone as planned for the Titans, with Levis looking like he might not be a starter under center for very long and the team’s veterans getting frustrated with losing and the game plan on offense.

The Titans lost to the division-rival Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, which marks the team’s fourth loss in five games. That’s not a great result for a team with higher expectations, especially with Ridley going off on a rant after the game because of the lack of touches via ESPN.
“I need some in the beginning of the f—ing game too,” Ridley said. “This s— is getting crazy. I sucked today and got to do better. But I got to get the ball a little earlier so I can be in the game and here with the team and play well also.”
At this point, the Titans look like they are headed for a disappointing end to the season, with this frustration from Ridley likely mounting if the team can’t turn things around in the passing game.
Head coach Brian Callahan said the following about the situation via ESPN.
“I’m sure he’ll be the first one to tell you it was disappointing,” Callahan said. “He’s one of our best players and we look to him to try and make a play or two and we didn’t get it done at the end of the game.”
It’ll be interesting to see where things go from here for the Titans, as they need a drastic turnaround to get on track before the season spirals out of control.
