Antonio Brown eligible to return in two weeks

The Antonio Brown saga could be back in full force in a matter of weeks. The troubled NFL superstar wide receiver will be eligible to return to the field in two weeks’ time, according to Pro Football Talk.

Antonio Brown will be eligible to practice and play in only two weeks.

Punished with an eight-game suspension for multiple off-field issues but not entirely cleared for a sexual assault/rape lawsuit filed against him last year, Brown must sit out eight weeks (or, if signed by a team, eight games, which depending on bye weeks could be nine weeks).

If unsigned two weeks from now, Brown can ink a contract and immediately join a team.

The real question moving forward is whether any team in the NFL is willing to bring in the star wideout. Even though Brown has caused a lot of problems off the field in the last couple of years, he is still an elite receiver and could be a valuable asset for a team in desperate need of a deep threat or a pass-catcher of his caliber.

As of right now, there has been no reported interest in Brown as he nears eligible status. Brown last played for the New England Patriots and quickly became a favorite target of Tom Brady, but that duo didn’t last and his stay ended prematurely.

Only time will tell if Brown can resurrect his career in the league while staying squeaky clean off the gridiron.
