Roddy White’s Brother Killed Outside South Carolina Nightclub
In the early morning hours Saturday, the half-brother of Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White was shot to death outside a nightclub in James Island, South Carolina.
According to reports, Charleston County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the Lake House Club on Mosquito Beach at 2:51 a.m. They arrived on the scene to find 21-year-old Tyrone Moore, Jr., the victim of a gunshot wound.
Witnesses said there was some sort of altercation that took place outside the club and that several gunshots were fired. Moore, the only person shot, was rushed to Medical University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Arthur Blank, the Falcons owner and chairman, issued a statement following Moore’s death:
“We were all saddened to learn about the death of Roddy’s brother Tyrone. Roddy is part of our Falcons family, and families stand together in difficult circumstances. Roddy and his family can count on our support through this very trying time. On behalf of the entire Falcons organization, we extend our deepest sympathies and prayers to Roddy, his mother Joenethia, and their entire family.â€
Although detectives have followed up on several leads, they have not identified any suspects. At this time, a motive for the shooting is also unknown.
