Steelers’ Ben Roethlisberger Undergoes MRI, Expected to Miss Six Weeks
The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered a brutal blow on Sunday when quarterback Ben Roethlisberger went down with what looked to be a very serious knee injury during a 12-6 win over the St. Louis Rams. It happened midway through the third quarter on what looked to be an illegal hit by Rams safety Mark Barron.

Initial reports following the game suggested Roethlisberger would undergo an MRI on Monday, but apparently nobody wanted to wait. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the MRI was completed upon the team’s return to Pittsburgh Sunday night.

MRI revealed Ben Roethlisberger did not tear his ACL, but he sprained his MCL and now is expected to miss "probably 6 weeks," per source.
