Dodgers And Nationals Sitting Atop World Series Future Odds
The MLB season is around nine weeks old and the future odds have shifted quite a bit since the last time we checked in with them. Back then the San Diego Padres were off to a hot start and sitting near the top of the odds, the Detroit Tigers were on top and we were all wondering if the Chicago Cubs were going to keep keeping up with the League’s best.
We now know that the Padres were pretenders (sitting at 25/1 to win the World Series) and the Cubs are among the teams with the five best odds to win it all at 14/1 to win the World Series. The Tigers are now 16/1 to win it all after they have hit an ugly rut here in the last couple of weeks that have a lot of analysts calling them pretenders.
The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Washington Nationals sit atop the odds, tied for first, with 13/2 odds. The Dodgers have a secret weapon in their already strong offense in Joc Pederson who seems to be hitting homer after homer.
