After their epic 5-2 win over Japan in the Women’s World Cup Finals last weekend, New York City mayor Bill de Blasio announced the U.S. women’s soccer team would become the first female sports team to be celebrated with a ticker-tape parade.

The festive march down Broadway from the Battery to City Hall began Friday morning at 11:00 a.m., just hours after appearing on the Today Show. Naturally, many of the ladies documented the event via Instagram.
