California Showdown: Dodgers Vs. Athletics

An interstate rivalry tops off a night of baseball as the Oakland Athletics take on the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Dodgers have won their last three games. They are 5-5 over their last ten games.

The struggling Athletics will be looking to pick themselves up from a six-game losing streak against one of the best teams in the MLB. They are 3-7 over their last ten games.

LA ace Clayton Kershaw will take the ball for the Dodgers to kick off the series. Kershaw has a 2.39 ERA. He has not allowed a run in five of his last six outings and has pitched all the way to the eighth in six consecutive games.

Felix Doubront will take the mound for Oakland. Doubront will be making his first start in an A’s uniform. He has a 4.59 ERA. We will see if a change of uniform will help bring out his A-game.

Expect the total for this one to stay low with Kershaw on the mound, though the Dodgers may be able to find home plate often but that remains to be seen as Doubront is a bit of a question mark.

The Reds and the Dodgers will face off at around 10 p.m. ET.
