Colts Rare Underdogs Against Texans
The line for the Thursday division showdown between the Indianapolis Colts and the Houston Texans has been all over the place. The reason being is Colts’ quarterback Andrew Luck’s questionable status for the game.
It was finally made clear that Luck has been ruled out for the Thursday contest and the line moved in complete favor of the Houston Texans. The Texans are the -4-point favorites against the Colts.
Neither the Colts or the Texans have had impressive seasons thus far. The Colts are off to a disappointing start. They are 2-2 straight up and have yet to cover this season. Houston meanwhile is off to a limping 1-3 start both straight up and against the spread.
The Colts are normally a team that rebounds big from losses. They were, before last week, 14-1 against the spread following a loss. In those situations this season the Colts are 0-2.
The Colts will be visiting Houston and have historically defeated the Texans when in Texas. Last season they won both their encounters with Houston and covering the spread each time. However, Indi’s trends seem to mean very little this year as they continue to struggle and will likely struggle even more without Luck.
The total for the game is set at 41 points. Seven of the last nine games between these two teams have stayed UNDER. Neither team has a prominent offense, with the Colts being Luck-less, so bettor are taking the UNDER in this one.
