College Basketball Championship Odds Update
The College basketball championship odds have moved around quite a bit since we last checked in with them at the beginning of the month. Back then it was the Kentucky Wildcats who rose to the top of the AP Top 25 Poll, while simultaneously rising to the top of the college basketball championship odds.
Duke Tops College Basketball Championship Odds But Not AP Poll
No. 8 Duke now tops the futures with 7/1 to win it all in April, while Kentucky has slipped to being ranked fifth in the nation on the AP poll and is in a three way tie for the second best odds with Kansas State and North Carolina. The Tar Heels are ranked No. 3 in the nation, while Kansas State is ranked No. 2.
Maryland was ranked No. 2 in the nation at the beginning of the month. They have now fallen to sixth in the nation and fallen in the odds to 14/1. Maryland, largely considered untested, failed their biggest test of the season when they dropped a game to North Carolina a couple weeks ago.
The No.1 team in the nation, Michigan State, is 10/1 to win it all. Bookmakers are still skeptical of the undefeated team but if  Denzel Valentine continues playing at that high of a level (he has two triple-doubles already this season) Michigan State odds will likely be justified and could take the best odds in the nation in the coming weeks.
