Checking In With MLB Futures, Cubs Still On Top
We check in with the MLB Futures (World Series odds) about once a week here, and it is beginning to get repetitive with the Cubs on top and a new teams in the runner up position.
The last time the Cubs weren’t on top of the MLB futures was the first week of the season., Then, the Royals were the top favorites of the 2016 World Series odds after beating the New York Mets in Five games this past World Series. Last week, the Mets are right behind the Cubs with 10-1. The Chicago White Sox and Toronto Blue Jays, were right behind the Mets also with 10-1.
This week the only team near the Cubs have a +1000 line to the Cubs +360. The three teams behind the Cubs, yet no where near them are the Boston Red Sox, Washington Nationals and San Francisco Giants.
The defending champs, the Royals, continue to play good baseball, but not good enough to compete with those at the top of the odds. They sit with the ninth best future odds.
