Kobe Bryant Sends Encouragement To Draymond Green After Game 4 Loss
After a devastating loss in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals, the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors have their backs against the wall as they face elimination heading into Game 5.
One of the three stars on the Warriors that has really struggled to find his groove in the West Finals is Draymond Green. The versatile forward has been credited as being the catalyst for Golden State, and since he’s begun struggling in the series with the Oklahoma City Thunder, the team has lost two straight games and may see their title defense come to an end in Game 5.
Following the loss to the Thunder in Game 4, Green received some encouragement from one of the greatest players to ever play the game. The recently Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers sent a text message to Green, according to Sportando:

Bryant has embraced a mentor role for Green with the five-time NBA champion helping the up-and-coming forward reach his true potential. For the Warriors to turn things around in this series with the Thunder, Green will have to get back to play at an All-Star-caliber level, and Bryant’s advice can’t hurt.
In Game 5, the Warriors will have the opportunity to stay alive in the playoffs in Oakland at Oracle Arena. Despite the team’s struggles in three of the last four games against Oklahoma City, Golden State is favored to come out on top in Game 5 with a -7 point spread (via Sportsbook.ag).
Although many believe it is only a matter of time before the Thunder advance to the NBA Finals, Golden State can control their fate by putting pressure on Oklahoma City with a win in Game 5. Winning three straight games isn’t out of the realm of possibility, but the Thunder have shown incredible resiliency and the ability to contend with the defending champions blow for blow.
