Pats AFC Odds Don’t Take A Hit From Eventual Brady Suspension
After an initial shake up to the future odds after the reigniting of deflate gate back in April, the NFL AFC Pats were recently posted and the Pats AFC odds remain on the top of their division despite what seems like Brady’s eventual suspension.
Back in April, a higher court ruled that Tom Brady must serve a four-game suspension for his role in the Deflategate saga that seems never ending. Online sports books and brick and mortar Vegas books have adjusted the NFL futures accordingly.
The Pats Super Bowl odds dropped from 6-1 to 8-1. This puts them as co-favorites to win it all along with Seattle. Their Super Bowl futures have since dropped to 17/2. However, the Pats odds are still good enough to keep them on top of their division. They are 4/1 to take the AFC title.
Brady could still start Week 1 as he will likely appeal the decision. In fact, all signs now seem to point to him playing in Week 1, however the books have yet to adjust.
