Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater Out For Season With Dislocated Knee, Torn ACL
On Tuesday afternoon the Minnesota Vikings ended practice early when quarterback Teddy Bridgewater went down with what looked to be a serious injury. Hours later the franchise’s worst fears were confirmed when it was announced that Bridgewater suffered both a dislocated knee and a complete tear of his ACL.

Given that Vikings coach Mike Zimmer immediately conceded the injury to his starting quarterback looked very, very bad, the announcement didn’t come as a shock. It’s still a crushing blow for the reigning NFC North champions.
Even worse is the sorry list of potential replacements tweeted out by ESPN NFL Insider Adam Caplan following Bridgewater’s injury:
Best available QBs:
Tarvaris Jackson
R. Grossman
Matt Flynn
Charlie Whitehurst
M. Vick
Austin Davis
Josh Freeman
J. Clausen
T.J. Yates— Adam Caplan (@caplannfl) August 30, 2016
Damn. That is bleak.
Seriously though—when is Rex Grossman going to stop ending up on lists of available quarterbacks? At this point wouldn’t even the lowly Tim Tebow over the 36-year-old Grossman who hasn’t played a single snap since 2011?
Today is a very bad day to be a Vikings fan.
