Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount Calls Tom Brady ‘Greatest Quarterback Of All Time’
After Deflategate was over and Tom Brady had served his four-game suspension, the future Hall of Famer got right back to work as the New England Patriots leader under center. Brady led the team to an impressive 14-2 record and a first-round bye in the NFL playoffs as the top seed in the AFC.
As if that wasn’t impressive enough, Brady has the Patriots cruising in the playoffs once again with easy wins over the Houston Texans and Pittsburgh Steelers in consecutive weeks. Brady is now Super Bowl bound yet again and potentially on his way to make history.
Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount gave his superstar quarterback some high praise with New England preparing for another Super Bowl appearance, via Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk:
“He’s the greatest quarterback of all time. People can argue, but I don’t see an argument. He piles on stats and wins and everything on his resume. Obviously he’s going to be a first-ballot hall of famer. As long as you have that guy on your team . . . we’re going to always have a chance,†Blount said.
At this point, it is getting harder and harder to make a case for another quarterback to be in the conversation for greatest of all time. Brady is still going strong at 38 and is favored to get his fifth Super Bowl title which would be the most by any quarterback in the history of the league. Brady may also make history if he can win a fourth Super Bowl MVP not to mention individuals records for stats he’ll pile up on Feb. 5.
As of Tuesday, the Patriots are favored at -3 over the Atlanta Falcons for Super Bowl 51, according to Sportsbook.ag.
