New Brothel to Honor Raiders
Dennis Hof, who currently owns six brothels in Nevada, has a license to open a seventh. He figures that the time to do that is when the Oakland Raiders move to Las Vegas. He announced that his next brothel will be called the “Pirate’s Booty Sports Brothel.” It will be his first sports-themed “house of debauchery,” as he calls them.
Hof said two of his establishments would give 50 percent off to Raider players and staff when word first spread that the potential for a move to Las Vegas was in the works. The new brothel will give additional VIP treatment to those associated with the team. He is also hoping to attract Raiders fans to his location with its sports theme.
The Pirate’s Booty Sports Brothel will be located in Crystal, Nevada. Nevada law says that counties with under 700,000 population can legalize prostitution. Hof announced his plans in a press release sent to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
It’s obvious the NFL will have to redo some of its existing policies once the Raiders move. Game officials are prohibited from visiting Las Vegas once the preseason begins until the Super Bowl is played. How they will view Hof’s offer is another matter entirely.
The city is still buzzing about the eventual move. Most agree it will be a good thing, although there is still a bit of descent here and there.
The state is expected to pay $750 million of the estimated $2 billion cost of the stadium. But the stadium could also lure other sports, such as a soccer team. Las Vegas consists of nearly 30 percent Hispanics and would appear to be ripe to support a team. Boxing is already huge in the city, along with NASCAR.
Las Vegas’ first team, the NHL’s Black Knights, are scheduled to begin play next season.
