Aaron Rodgers Wants Packers To Take It To Another Level Next Season
The Green Bay Packers were a resilient team during the 2016 NFL season. Many people wrote off Aaron Rodgers and company after they struggled at times during the regular season until they kicked it into high gear paving their way to the NFC Championship Game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Unfortunately, after a brilliant performance against the Dallas Cowboys, the Packers were no match for Matt Ryan’s squad who wiped the floor with Green Bay, 38-13. Rodgers recently spoke about what the team needs to do next season to ESPN, via Pro Football Talk:
“Going forward, we have to be better when our best is needed. All around — offense, defense, special teams,†Rodgers said, via ESPN.com. “There are plays in that Atlanta game that, if they go our way, it’s a different ballgame. We missed a kick, we fumbled, we go stagnant on offense and the next thing you know, it’s 31-0. You’re not going to win games like that against good teams. I think we’ve rebuilt a little bit, but we’ve got to see what we’ve got here.â€
As usual, the Packers are considered to be one of the best teams heading into the 2017 NFL campaign. Although the season doesn’t start until September, Green Bay has the third-best odds to win Super Bowl LII behind the Cowboys (10/1) and the New England Patriots (17/5) at 12/1.
Green Bay will be a force to be reckoned with once again in the NFC as it could very well be a two-team race for the conference title with the Cowboys. Dak Prescott and company will be looking to avenge their playoff loss to the Packers while the Falcons will also be highly motivated to bounce back from their defeat to the Patriots in the Super Bowl.
