Cowboys WR Dez Bryant Tries To Recruit Darrelle Revis To Dallas On Twitter
The Dallas Cowboys are an offensive powerhouse. The reigning NFC East champions dominated the competition throughout the 2016 NFL season leading up to clinching the top seed in the conference and paving for what was thought to be a deep playoff run.
Unfortunately for Dallas, the Cowboys ran into a motivated Green Bay Packers team led by Aaron Rodgers. The superstar quarterback led the Packers to an incredible come-from-behind victory resulting in Green Bay advancing to the NFC Championship Game while Dak Prescott and company went home empty handed.
One of the major flaws for the Cowboys last season was defense. Although Jerry Jones and company have done some things to address this issue in the offseason, it could still be a glaring problem next season, but Dez Bryant is trying to help in every way he can.
Bryant took to Twitter on Saturday to try and recruit four-time All-Pro corner Darrelle Revis to the Cowboys:
@Revis24 Dallas? ….I promise you are going to love what we got going on around here..your attitude fits our culture…waiting…..

Although Revis is no longer the elite player of old that earned the distinction as arguably the best cornerback in the NFL, the veteran would still be an upgrade for the Cowboys’ secondary. Revis can help bring the defense together, and as a free agent, he is currently available to anyone that wants to bring him on next season.
Revis parted ways with the New York Jets this year after spending most of his career with the struggling franchise. At this point, there doesn’t seem to be much interest in Revis around the league as he failed to impress last season in New York.
Despite Revis’ best days likely being behind him, it wouldn’t be all that surprising to see a Super Bowl contender like Dallas take a chance on the veteran to help the squad defensively.
