Watson The NFL ROY Favorite?
Deshaun Watson is the NFL rookie with the most hype behind him but according to the futures the NFL ROY favorite is no Watson.
Watson did dazzle in his preseason outing against the Carolina Panthers backups. He  completed 15-of-25 for 179 yards while also rushing for 24 yards. He also walked in a touchdown.
Watson looked cool, collected and poised on the field. Watson may be the solution to the Texans long standing quarterback question and with Watson’s performance the Texans futures to win the AFC South jumped up to +190.
However, it is actually Jacksonville running back Leonard Fournette who is the early favorite.
Bettors being apprehensive about a new quarterback is smart. It sometimes takes a couple years for a new quarterback to settle in the pros, i.e Dak Prescott.
