2018 Stanley Cup Futures: A Close Race
The updated 2018 Stanley Cup Futures does have a favorite. However the odds are close and after the top spot there are a lot of ties.
The Tampa Bay Lightning sit atop the odds with 6/1. After that there is a three-way tie between the Boston Bruins, Vegas Golden Knights and Washington Capitals at 12/1. In third is another three-way tied between last year’s Stanley Cup runners-up the Nashville Predators, Los Angeles Kings and New Jersey Devils.
The Vegas Golden Knights have been the surprise hit this season. They continue to win despite odds against them and the futures have began to reflect that.
Defending Stanley Cup Champions, the Pittsburgh Penguins, are deep down the futures with 20/1 odds.
