Playoffs
Needless to say, there’s a lot of excited Cardinals fans after Thursday. The team now has the goal of bringing in a new quarterback. There are quite a few options on the open market with Kirk Cousins being arguably the best out there.
The return of Fitzgerald will almost certainly make Arizona an intriguing destination in NFL free agency for Cousins and other quarterbacks like Case Keenum, Josh McCown, AJ McCarron, Teddy Bridgewater, and Sam Bradford to name a few.
As for the Cardinals odds to be a playoff contender next season, Fitzgerald helps, but it will be the quarterback acquisition that will tilt the scales one way or another.
