Victor Oladipo Already Looking Towards Next Season
Indiana Pacers star guard Victor Oladipo is optimistic about the future in spite of crashing out of the playoffs.
Victor Oladipo showed his All-Star quality in the 105 – 101 defeat to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday, which sent them out.
The player who made his first All-Star team this season finished the night with 30 points with 12 rebounds.
Despite being eliminated from the NBA playoffs, Victor Oladipo was proud of his Indiana Pacers team.
“If y’all don’t respect the Indiana Pacers now, I have no respect for you,” Oladipo said after the Pacers’ loss, via espn.com. “That’s just how I feel. Nobody thought we were going to be here — not one person — but us in the locker room. I feel like we’ve earned our respect from everyone now.
“Nobody thought we were going to be here,” Oladipo said. “If I told you we were going to be here in October, you’d have looked at me like I was crazy.”

While many players would be despondent after such a defeat, Oladipo is already thinking about next season.
“I don’t know how to take time off. I had someone tell me, ‘Take a break and enjoy my life.’ This is my life, I feel like I’ve got a lot of room to improve. This summer I’m going to go to work so I can come back even better.”
After the game his trainer David Alexander revealed a text message exchange between the two minutes after the game.
Oladipo said “When do we start? I’m ready to take it to another level.”
“Look at the time on this text,†said Alexander. “This dude probably hasn’t even showered yet after playing one of the biggest games of his young career and he’s already trying to get back to work!”
