5 teams that need to win in NFL Week 2

The NFL season is only entering its second week on Sunday. Although, there are already some teams facing a must-win situation. Sure, anybody can climb out of an 0-2 hole. However, for some squads, the hill to conquer will be much larger than others. Here are five teams that have to get into the win column in NFL Week 2 this weekend.

5. Los Angeles Chargers

After losing at home in Week 1 to the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs, the Chargers have to bounce back with a win against the Buffalo Bills. Buffalo was walloped 47-3 by the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. There’s no reason to believe that the Bills are much better than that score. If Los Angeles can’t go to Buffalo in NFL Week 2 and handle its business against that team, alarm bells should be sounding at a deafening level.

4. Atlanta Falcons

Atlanta might have had the worst week of any team to begin the season. The Falcons not only lost a game that they should have won against the Philadelphia Eagles, but they managed to also lose Keanu Neal and Deion Jones for extended periods (Neal is out for the season with a torn ACL). This week, the Dirty Birds welcome the Carolina Panthers into town. Should the Falcons lose, they would be 0-2. The team would be looking at a very large hole in the NFC South, already with a home divisional loss.

3. Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys might not be a contender this season anyway, considering they could only muster a measly eight points in the opener. Still, Dallas is in the mix. It needs to beat the New York Giants at home on Sunday Night Football this weekend. A loss here would all but put the Cowboys in the afterthought bin, considering they would have a home divisional loss and a pair of conference losses to go with it.

2. Tennessee Titans

Tennessee ws expected to make some moves this season. After going 9-7 and reaching the AFC Divisional round a year ago, the Titans sacked their coaching staff while hiring Mike Vrabel to steer the ship. That looks like a mistake early, with the team being handled by the lowly Miami Dolphins, 27-20. If Tennessee loses at home to the Houston Texans on Sunday, it’ll be facing doom. As it is, Marcus Mariota is uncertain to play and Delanie Walker is out for the season with a dislocated ankle.

1. New Orleans Saints

After giving up 48 points in a home loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Saints now welcome in the 0-0-1 (not a typo) Cleveland Browns. If New Orleans doesn’t rebound here and put an absolute pounding on the Browns, it’s time to be very, very concerned in the Bayou.
