Packers’ Jimmy Graham not thrilled with his performance this season

The Green Bay Packers have dropped five out of their last seven games that have pushed them toward the outskirts looking into the playoff picture.

It has become a seemingly frustrating season all around for the Packers with their shortcomings continuing to pile up. Pro Bowl tight end Jimmy Graham has expressed that sentiment with the situation that has only been compounded by his lack of production, via ESPN.

“That’s not what it’s about,” Graham said. “I just want to win games. If I have one catch for 2 yards and we win, I don’t care. But obviously it’s not great when you’re not helping us win, and that’s what I see.”

Heading into his first season with the Packers, Graham had hoped to not only be a big piece of the puzzle offensively but also help the team compete for the playoffs and possibly much more. Instead, Green Bay has seen their season head south in the second half of the year that has nearly eliminated them from playoff contention. On top of that, his production level has been near what has become accustomed to being over the course of his career. He has established himself as one of the premier tight ends in the league and top red zone targets at his position.

Graham has recorded 46 catches for 549 receiving yards and two touchdowns. This has featured him notching fewer than 30 receiving yards six times while posting just one 100 receiving yards performance. Granted, he has been dealing with a broken thumb over the last couple of weeks but hasn’t been enough of a reason to cover why his production has dropped.

Nonetheless, Graham and the Packers have the opportunity in front of them to close out the season strong over the final three games in hopes of somehow earning a playoff spot.
