Warriors’ DeMarcus Cousins says he’s frustrated with his play
The Golden State Warriors stumbled to a disappointing loss at home against the James Harden-less Houston Rockets.
It was a game that saw the Rockets take command in the second half that led to a late push by the Warriors that came up short. Following the contest, former All-Star big man DeMarcus Cousins voiced his frustration with how his own play has staggered a bit, according to Nick Friedell of ESPN.

“It’s tough,” Cousins said after a 118-112 loss to the Houston Rockets on Saturday night. “Obviously, I’m in like a gray area when it comes to that, trying to get back to being myself and also knowing guys are coming at me. Nobody in this league is going to feel sorry for me and I know that, so I’m going to go out and battle as much as I can and do what I can. But it still is a process for me; it’s no excuse.”
Cousins is still making his return from a serious injury that has often times ended the career of players. However, he has been able to recover from the injury and made his way back on the court this season.

He was less than a year removed from the injury that saw him get back on the floor earlier last month. In the last 13 games played, Cousins is averaging 14.1 points, 7.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists per contest. However, he has seen an uptick in production as of late with three straight double-doubles.
Ultimately, this is a process that is going to take him time to get more fluidity physically with the more playing time he gets under his belt.
