Kevin Durant One Technical Away from Suspension
Kevin Durant is one technical foul away from a suspension following a surprising call against the Nuggets on Tuesday night.
The Golden State Warriors forward was ejected early in the third quarter for arguing a call by official Zach Zarba.
That takes Kevin Durant to 15 technical fouls for the season. A sixteenth will trigger an automatic one-game suspension.
The controversial play occurred with 8:27 left. Kevin Durant went up for a jumper and thought that Nuggets forward Paul Millsap fouled him. He then began to complain to the officials.

Six seconds later, Durant was called for his first technical foul of the night. Despite the efforts of DeMarcus cousins and Steve Kerr to calm him down, the ref blew for a second technical foul.
He walked off the court to the sound of angry “Ref, you suck†chants from the Oracle Arena crowd. However, the sour atmosphere somewhat overshadowed a quality Durant performance. In fact, it was one of his best performances in terms of output of the season.
He had 21 points on 9 – of – 13 shooting in 21 minutes. As well as that, he had six assists, three rebounds and two blocks.
Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr expressed his surprise at Durant’s ejection after the game. However, he made sure to play down any acrimony that may arise.

“I thought he deserved the first technical. Didn’t think he deserved the second one,” Kerr said.
“I was very surprised, I watched the whole thing. I didn’t think he deserved to be ejected, but I think Zach Zarba is one of the best officials in the game, so I got no complaints with Zach. He knows what he’s doing. He’s a fantastic official. It was just surprising, and I never did really get an explanation or get a chance to talk to him, but we move on.”
