Tacko Fall: I Know What I Can Do

The chance for Tacko Fall to be drafted into the NBA this year is still alive, for the moment.

The 7-foot-6 UCF center is part of a group of players given a spot in the upcoming NBA draft combine. Tacko Fall and 10 other players from the G League Elite Camp, held earlier this week, will attend the combine.

The NBA draft combine starts on Thursday, with a total of 77 young players invited. Tacko Fall now aims to be one of the 60 who will be given a place in the draft.

“It means a lot,” Fall said.

“You’ve got to earn your spot,” Fall said.

“All the guys that were in the combine, they’re all great players. I saw the list. There’s not one player where I’d be like, `Oh, this guy does not deserve to be there.’ So if you want to be there, you’ve got to compete.”

Fall is already something of a known entity despite his G League underdog status. At 7-foot-6, he will be the largest player at the combine. As well as that, he impressed during the NCAA Tournament.

In particular, he held his own against Zion Williamson – this years likely No. 1 draft pick. His UFC Knights lost to the Blue Devils by one point in that game. If he can give a good account of himself against the highly rated Williamson, then teams will be interested.

“Coming into that game, I knew what I could do,” Fall said. “I knew how I could impact the game no matter who I played against. And as long as I stay true to that, I’m going to be fine.”
