Ravens RB Mark Ingram is ‘pretty confident’ he’ll be good to go for the playoffs
The Baltimore Ravens have already locked up the top spot in the AFC and are looking forward to a long playoff run with MVP frontrunner Lamar Jackson leading the charge. However, the team has one major injury that is concerning ahead of the regular-season finale with running back Mark Ingram dealing with a calf injury.
According to Jeff Zrediec of The Athletic, the Ravens star running back is confident that he’ll be ready for the playoffs.
Mark Ingram said he’s pretty confident that he’ll be ready for Ravens playoff opener. Said he was initially concerned because he heard a little pop in the back of his calf. He’s relieved it’s not more serious Of injury.

Obviously, Jackson stole the show this season as he proved to the world that he can be a superstar quarterback in this league dominating with his arm as well as his legs. Even though Jackson has quickly become one of the NFL’s elite quarterbacks, Ingram’s impact out of the backfield has helped with his success and will be sorely missed in the playoffs if unable to play at a high level.
Ingram is having another stellar year as he was selected to the Pro Bowl and has eclipsed 1,000 yards rushing for the third time in his NFL career. In 15 games, Ingram has carried the ball 202 times racking up 1,010 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns. He has also been a significant threat in the passing game as he has a career-high five touchdowns to go along with 247 receiving yards.
Fortunately for the Ravens, Ingram can rest through Week 17 and the first-round bye. It remains to be seen if this will be enough time to get that calf right, but the team is fortunate they do have some time to get their Pro Bowl running back closer to being healthy enough to contribute during the postseason.
