Rockets newcomer John Wall vows to return to ‘All-Star’ form in Houston
John Wall hasn’t played a game in the NBA since December of 2018. He will look to resurrect his once-promising NBA career with the Houston Rockets.
Wall was recently traded to the Rockets in a deal that sent Russell Westbrook to the Washington Wizards. This move was surprising on a few levels, but Wall is viewing it as an opportunity to reclaim his form as an All-Star player, via ESPN.

“I wish that whole team, the organization the best of luck this year, but my main focus is with my new team, the Rockets, and what I’m trying to accomplish: come back and be an All-Star player and be that player that everybody feels like I don’t have no more.”
John Wall (30) was once considered one of the fastest guards in the league and someone with a bright future. That was until he tore an Achilles tendon in 2018. This derailed Wall’s career and also made him look like the worst contract in the NBA. He will be paid over $40 million per season the next few years.

Although Wall’s best basketball is almost certainly behind him after suffering an injury that ends most careers in the league, the Kentucky product will have an opportunity to turn things around while playing alongside former college teammate DeMarcus Cousins and arguably one of the best scorers of all time in James Harden.
