Luka Doncic Signs Five Year Extension with Dallas Mavericks
Slovenian sensation Luka Doncic will sign a five-year, $207 million supermax rookie extension with the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old’s pay day has been in the mail, considering what he has already achieved in his fledgling career.
Luka Doncic became the youngest MVP in EuroLeague history when he won the title with Real Madrid. He was then selected third overall in that years’ NBA Draft.
Luka Doncic was the 2018 Rookie of the Year and has been a first team All-NBA selection in the last two years. Since the ABA-NBA merger, Kevin Durant is the only other player to make multiple All-NBA berths before the age of 23.

This summer, he led the Slovenia team to a fourth placed-finished in its first Olympic appearance in Tokyo. So far, he has NBA career averages of 25.7 points, 8.4 rebounds and 7.7 assists per game.
Although the Mavericks’ have still come up short in the playoffs, it’s not because Doncic isn’t performing. In 13 postseason games, he’s averaged 33.5 points, 8.8 rebounds and 9.6 assists.
