NFL power rankings: Top 5 receivers entering 2021

Who are the NFL’s best wide receivers entering the 2021 season? We break it down in our latest NFL power rankings.

5. D.K. Metcalf, Seattle Seahawks

Metcalf is the youngest guy on the NFL power rankings, but he deserves a spot. Only entering his third season out of Ole Miss, Metcalf has earned a reputation as one of the league’s elite playmakers. At 6-foot-4 and 229 pounds, the former Rebels star can win with physicality and speed. Last season, Metcalf registered 83 catches for 1,303 yards and 10 touchdowns, earning himself a Pro Bowl berth and helping the Seahawks win the NFC West.

4. Stefon Diggs, Buffalo Bills

Diggs has been one of the better receivers in the league for the past half-decade. However, he took it up a notch last season. After spending his first five years with the Minnesota Vikings, Diggs was sent to the Buffalo Bills and upon arrival, teamed up with quarterback Josh Allen to form a dynamic duo. The result? Diggs led the league in both receptions and yardage with 127 and 1,535, respectively. After three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons, Diggs is a top-flight performer.

3. Davante Adams, Green Bay Packers

Adams has dealt with the injury bug at times throughout his career, but when healthy, few if any are better. Let year, the Packers star payed in 14 games but still caught 115 passes for 1,374 yards and 18 touchdowns, the latter figure leading the league. Even without another receiver helping to tae the attention away from Adams, he continues to torch defenses, making the Pro Bowl for the fourth straight year while earning First-Team All-Pro honors for the first time.

2. DeAndre Hopkins, Arizona Cardinals

After spending the first seven seasons of his NFL career with the Houston Texans, being traded to the Arizona Cardinals did little to slow Hopkins down in 2020. The three-time First-Team All-Pro put up another Pro Bowl campaign, this time doing so in the desert with 115 catches, 1,407 yards and six touchdowns. While he’s done it rather quietly on good-but-not-great teams, Hopkins is looking at a good resumé for Canton once he decides to hang it up. Don’t expect that day to be soon.

1. Tyreek Hill, Kansas City Chiefs

Nobody puts more fear into a defense than Hill. The Chiefs took him in the fifth round of the 2016 Draft and since then, the speedster has produced five Pro Bowl seasons and three First-Team All-Pro selections. Last year, Hill went for 87 catches and 1,276 yards with 15 touchdowns, all while leading the NFL with 14.0 yards per touch. While other receivers are bigger and stronger, nobody combines athleticism, hands and speed like Hill.
