LeBron James Takes ESPN Offseason Survey Personally
Take notice, NBA, because LeBron James enters the season with something to prove again as LA aims for the championship.
After he didn’t receive a single vote in a 2019 poll about the NBA’s best player, LeBron James responded. He made up for a poor first season with the Lakers to lead them to the title in 2020.
History is repeating itself it seems. The same survey for 2021 saw Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kevin Durant receive all the votes. After an injury hit 2020 for the 37-year-old, LeBron James didn’t get any votes.
You can just imagine the spirit of Michael Jordan travelling through time in LeBron’s reaction. You’d better believe he is taking this personally.

Last season, LeBron was in the conversation for most valuable player. However, a high ankle sprain disrupted the end to his regular season. With Anthony Davis also in and out all year, the Lakers fell short. They lost to eventual Western Conference champion the Phoenix Suns in six games in the first round of the playoffs.

Ahead of the new season, the Lakers are gearing up for another championship run. They’re going the veteran route this time around.
They traded for Russell Westbrook, as well as Dwight Howard and Carmelo Anthony. They will hope being so stacked with experience will stop them from falling away again.
